Database disclosure via injectable evaluation identifier
Published Apr 16, 2023 · Updated Feb 6, 2025
SQL injection in the evaluation assignment endpoint in University of Washington TrainSMART r1044 allows remote attackers to read database data. The evaluation/assign-evaluation route accepts the id query parameter as SQL input; a public proof of concept uses sqlmap to enumerate database names. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the demonstrated consequence is database confidentiality loss rather than modification or interruption.
