Reflected XSS via unpurified quick-search parameter
Published Aug 6, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Reflected XSS in Naviwebs Navigate CMS 2.9 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another signed-in user's browser. The initial_url value built by 19 administration modules is inserted into HTML by lib/layout/navitable.class.php without purifying the navigate-quicksearch request parameter. Exploitation requires a signed-in victim to follow a crafted URL, enabling script execution in the site's origin and exposure or alteration of session-accessible data.
