CVE-2021-3644Network attack vector

Vault secret disclosure via multi-expression attribute smuggling

Published Aug 26, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Information disclosure in WildFly Core 16.0.0.Final and earlier and 17.0.0.Beta2 allows remote authenticated users to retrieve vault values. SensitiveVaultExpressionConstraint.isSensitiveValue inspects only the first expression segment, so a later vault expression in the same attribute escapes the sensitive-value check. High-privilege management access and a configured vault are required; successful use exposes a protected vault value and can undermine configuration integrity.
