CVE-2021-36380Known exploitationPublic exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated root command execution via diagnostic CGI

Published Aug 13, 2021 · Updated Oct 21, 2025

OS command injection in Sunhillo SureLine before 8.7.0.1.1 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands as root. The /cgi/networkDiag.cgi script places the ipAddr and dnsAddr parameters into a shell command, and its input filter permits $() command substitution. The CGI requires no session cookie, so network access to the web service is sufficient for complete control of the underlying gateway.
