Stored script execution via unsanitized patient fields
Published Aug 26, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in Care2x Hospital Information Management 2.7 Alpha allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser. The patient_register.php handler accepts script-bearing values in six patient fields and stores them for later rendering without neutralizing active markup. A logged-in attacker must submit a patient record and another user must view it, enabling script access to page data and actions in that user's session.
