CVE-2021-36337Network attack vector

Data disclosure and modification via legacy TLS

Published Dec 21, 2021 · Updated Sep 17, 2024

Insecure transport protocols in Dell Wyse Management Suite 3.3.1 and earlier allow man-in-the-middle attackers to read and alter data. The HTTPS service accepts TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 connections instead of requiring a stronger transport protocol, leaving protected traffic negotiable through obsolete protocol versions. Exploitation requires a network position that permits traffic interception; the documented consequence is disclosure and modification of data, not service interruption.
