CVE-2021-36320Network attack vector

Unauthenticated session hijacking via forgeable session IDs

Published Nov 20, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Authentication bypass in Dell Networking X-Series firmware 3.0.1.8 and earlier allows remote attackers to hijack web sessions. The web server uses session IDs with insufficient entropy, allowing a forged identifier to match an authenticated session. Exploitation requires a usable session identifier and user interaction, after which the attacker gains the session's web-management access.
