CVE-2021-36309

Credential disclosure via unprotected TACACS/RADIUS storage

Published Oct 1, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Information disclosure in Dell Enterprise SONiC OS 3.3.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read stored TACACS/RADIUS credentials. The operating system stores those authentication credentials without sufficient protection, exposing them to an authenticated account with system access. Exploitation requires adjacent-network access and low privileges; disclosed credentials enable further compromise, while Dell has not published a more specific storage locus.
