Privilege escalation in Dell SmartFabric OS10 before October 2021 allows remote authenticated users to gain administrator privileges. Dell has not published the affected RESTCONF endpoint or the authorization operation that mishandles low-privileged API requests. The RESTCONF API must be enabled, and a low-privileged account with specific API access is required; exploitation grants full administrative control.
