CVE-2021-36301Network attack vector

Host OS access via Racadm stack overflow

Published Nov 23, 2021 · Updated Sep 17, 2024

Stack-based buffer overflow in Dell iDRAC8 before 2.80.80.80 and iDRAC9 before 4.40.40.00 allows remote authenticated users to access the host OS. Dell identifies the locus only as Racadm and does not disclose the command, field, or copy operation that overruns the stack buffer. High-privilege iDRAC authentication and network access to the management interface are required; successful exploitation grants control of process execution and access to host data.
