CVE-2021-36296Network attack vector

Privileged remote command execution via command injection

Published Jan 25, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

OS command injection in Dell VNX2 OE for File 8.1.21.266 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute system commands. Dell identifies the affected locus only as proprietary VNX2 OE for File code and has not published the command-building operation or untrusted input that lacks neutralization. Exploitation requires high privileges over the network; successful injection grants command execution with full system impact.
