Privileged cluster-data access via permissive support directories
Published Aug 16, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Incorrect permissions in Dell PowerScale OneFS 8.2.x through 9.2.x allow local users to read privileged cluster information. The /ifs/data/Isilon_support and /ifs/data/Isilon_support/pkg directories grant access to other users instead of limiting it to administrators. An account with ISI_PRIV_LOGIN_SSH or ISI_PRIV_LOGIN_CONSOLE can access sensitive cluster support data without broader administrative authority.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
