Authenticated arbitrary file read via WCF function
Published Aug 31, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Arbitrary file read in MIK GmbH MIK.starlight Server 7.9.5.24363 allows remote authenticated users to read server files through a WCF request. AdminGetFirstFileContentByFilePath accepts a caller-supplied filesystem path and returns the selected file's contents, base64-encoded, without constraining the requested path. Any authenticated account can invoke the administrator-only function, exposing files readable by the highly privileged server process.
