Enclave integrity compromise via uninitialized pointer free
Published Sep 27, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Memory corruption in SKALE sgxwallet 1.58.3 allows remote attackers to compromise enclave integrity through crafted ECALL 14 input. The trustedEcdsaSign branch frees an uninitialized stack pointer, and chained enclave calls can seed that stack slot with a valid address. Unauthenticated network reachability and multiple crafted enclave calls are required; the published record establishes enclave-integrity loss but not code execution.
