Stored script execution via unescaped sharing group name
Published Jul 7, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in MISP before 2.4.146 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser through a crafted sharing group name. The app/View/SharingGroups/view.ctp template renders the stored name without HTML escaping; the fix applies the h() escaping helper before interpolation. Exploitation requires a user to open the affected sharing group view, where the injected script runs in that user's browser context.
