CVE-2021-36198

Unauthorized report access via public folder exposure

Published Dec 6, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Information exposure in Johnson Controls EntraPass before 8.40 allows remote attackers to access sensitive data via reports left in a public folder. The vulnerable deployment leaves generated reports available in that folder instead of relocating or deleting them, allowing unauthenticated adjacent-network users to retrieve them. Impact is unauthorized confidentiality loss; the advisory does not document broader compromise capabilities.
