Authenticated file disclosure via unrestricted textFile path
Published Jul 13, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Local file inclusion in The Echo Group ShareCare 8.15.5 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary server and UNC-accessible files. General/TextReader/TextReader.cfm accepts save or view actions and uses the textFile value as a full path without validation, sanitization, or restriction. A valid ShareCare session is required; successful access discloses files readable by the server, including files reached through UNC paths, without reported integrity or availability effects.
