Arbitrary 7-Zip option injection via zippass
Published Jul 13, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Command argument injection in Echo ShareCare 8.15.5 allows remote authenticated users to pass arbitrary arguments to 7z.exe. Access/EligFeedParse_Sup/UnzipFile_Upd.cfm passes the remote zippass value to the UnzipFile feature's 7z.exe invocation without neutralizing argument delimiters. A valid ShareCare session is required; the public record establishes arbitrary option injection but does not document resulting file access or code execution.
