Administrator code execution via extension-filter bypass
Published Sep 1, 2021 · Updated Sep 17, 2024
Improper input validation in Adobe Commerce 2.4.2, 2.4.2-p1, and 2.3.7 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute code. The administrative file-upload path accepts a specially crafted file because its extension restrictions are not enforced correctly. Administrator privileges are required, and accepted server-executable content permits arbitrary code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
