Improper input validation in Adobe Commerce 2.4.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to expose data and escalate privileges. The customer self-service REST endpoint accepts a user-controlled object reference without enforcing authorization for the referenced customer; Adobe has not disclosed the responsible code locus. A valid low-privilege account and network access to that endpoint are required, and exploitation exposes customer information and alters privileges.
