Memory disclosure via PDF parser buffer over-read
Published Sep 2, 2021 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in Adobe After Effects 18.2.1 and earlier allows attackers to disclose process memory through a crafted PDF file. The PDF parser fails to validate user-supplied data before reading past the end of an allocated buffer. Exploitation requires a victim to open the file, and the disclosed memory is limited to the current process context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
