Information disclosure via crafted file parsing
Published Sep 2, 2021 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in Adobe After Effects 18.2.1 and earlier allows attackers to disclose information through a victim-opened crafted file. Adobe identifies the affected locus only as the file parser and does not disclose the malformed field or bounds check omitted before the read. A victim must open the malicious file; the documented consequence is disclosure in the current user's context, not data modification or service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
