CVE-2021-36007

Memory disclosure via uninitialized MP4 parser access

Published Aug 20, 2021 · Updated Apr 23, 2025

Improper input validation in Adobe Prelude 10.0 and earlier allows attackers to disclose process memory through a crafted MP4 file. The MP4 parser accesses memory before properly initializing it, exposing residual data from the current process. Exploitation requires a user to open the malicious file; the documented impact is limited to information disclosure in that user's context.
