Information disclosure via uninitialized MP4 parser memory
Published Aug 20, 2021 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Improper initialization in Adobe Photoshop 21.2.9 and earlier and 22.4.2 and earlier allows attackers to disclose memory through a crafted MP4 file. The MP4 parser accesses memory without properly initializing it, exposing residual information in the current process. Exploitation requires a victim to visit a malicious page or open the file; the disclosure can support a separate code-execution chain.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
