Memory disclosure via MP4 parser out-of-bounds read
Published Nov 19, 2021 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in Adobe Audition 14.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to disclose memory via a crafted MP4 file. The MP4 parser reads beyond an allocated buffer because it fails to validate attacker-supplied structure lengths. Exploitation requires a victim to open the malicious file, limiting impact to information disclosure in the current user's process context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
