Arbitrary code execution via end-of-buffer access
Published Sep 2, 2021 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Memory corruption in Adobe After Effects 18.2.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code through a crafted file. The file parser accesses memory beyond a buffer boundary while processing attacker-controlled file data, corrupting memory used by the application. Exploitation requires a victim to open the file and runs code in the context of the current user, exposing that user's data and application privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
