Administrator code injection via runtime DLL hijacking
Published Jul 13, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
DLL hijacking in Stormshield Endpoint Security Evolution 2.0.0 through 2.0.2 allows local users to inject code into EsScriptHost. The EsScriptHost agent process searches the Windows directory for Visual C++ runtime DLLs instead of loading them from the protected agent installation directory. A local administrator must replace the runtime DLLs in the Windows directory; the malicious code then runs inside the privileged EsScriptHost process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
