CVE-2021-3590Network attack vector

Authenticated Azure credential disclosure via API serialization

Published Aug 22, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Credential exposure in Foreman 1.6.0 and later allows remote authenticated users to read Azure Compute Profile passwords through the API. The compute-profile API serializes stored Azure credentials into JSON responses instead of redacting the password from users granted view_compute_profiles. Exploitation requires an Azure Compute Profile and an authenticated account with that permission, exposing the stored cloud credential.
