File read and code execution via path traversal

Path traversal in Oracle Essbase Administration Services before 11.1.2.4.046 or before 21.3 allows remote authenticated users to access server files. The readEASFile and saveEASFile operations accept objectname path segments without neutralizing traversal sequences, enabling reads outside the restricted parent directory and writes of attacker-chosen scripts into the web application. Low-privileged HTTP access is sufficient to read arbitrary files or place a JSP web shell that executes commands in the server process context.
