Code execution via Management API buffer overflow
Published Oct 20, 2021 · Updated Sep 25, 2024
Stack-based buffer overflow in Oracle MySQL Cluster allows attackers to execute arbitrary code through the Management API. The API copies user-supplied data into a fixed-length stack buffer without validating its length. Oracle’s supported attack path requires adjacent-segment access, high privileges, and interaction by another person; successful exploitation can take over 7.4.33 and earlier, 7.5.23 and earlier, 7.6.19 and earlier, and 8.0.26 and earlier releases.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
