Improper access control in Hitachi Energy Retail Operations and CSB 5.7.3 and earlier allows local users to read or modify application data. The application authentication and authorization path accepts a modified signed Java Applet JAR file for execution without enforcing the intended access restrictions. Exploitation requires local high-privileged access and can expose or alter application data, with no reported availability impact.
