Cleartext backup storage in Hitachi Energy MicroSCADA X SDM600 1.2 before FP2 HF6 allows local users to read sensitive information. The backup function writes backup contents without encryption or password protection, leaving their sensitive contents readable at rest. A low-privileged local account and access to a backup file are required; the disclosed consequence is limited to information exposure.
