Authenticated command injection via ImageMagick path
Published Oct 5, 2021 · Updated Jul 4, 2026
Remote code execution in Afian FileRun 2021.03.26 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands through the Check Path value. The checkImageMagick action passes the administrator-supplied path to a shell command without neutralizing command separators, allowing injected commands to run as the webserver user. Access requires a higher-privileged FileRun account and the vulnerable release; the demonstrated consequence is server-side command execution with the webserver account's privileges.
