Unauthenticated account access via invalid password acceptance
Published Oct 13, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Authentication bypass in affected TIBCO EBX products allows remote attackers to access accounts by submitting an invalid password. The Web Server accepts a password other than the account's legitimate password under specific conditions, but TIBCO has not disclosed the faulty validation path. No prior access or user interaction is required; targeting a privileged administrator account grants full administrative access.
