Cross-user data disclosure via REST API race
Published Oct 12, 2021 · Updated Sep 17, 2024
A race condition in the REST API of TIBCO JasperReports Server allows remote authenticated users to read other users' temporary objects. The API fails to synchronize access to temporary objects across user sessions, allowing one session to receive an object created by another user. Exploitation requires low-privileged credentials and a timing overlap with another user's object creation; the documented impact is cross-user read access only.
