Stored script execution via unsanitized course fields
Published Dec 3, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in Chamilo LMS 1.11.0 through 1.11.16 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in viewers' browsers. Course titles are inserted into HTML attributes without escaping double quotes, while course descriptions and document titles are rendered without adequate XSS filtering. Administrator access is required for course-name injection, teacher access for course descriptions, and student access for course documents; execution requires another user to view the stored content.
