CVE-2021-3528Network attack vector

Configuration compromise via logged internal RPC tokens

Published May 13, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Credential exposure in Red Hat NooBaa Operator before 5.7.0 allows remote authenticated users to read and modify system configuration. The RPC handler logged the complete RPCMessage object, including the internal AuthToken exchanged between the operator and core, instead of only nonsecret request metadata. Access to operator or must-gather logs is required; the exposed token grants additional deployment access and permits configuration reads and changes.
