Unauthenticated data modification via enabled HTTP methods
Published Dec 23, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Exposed HTTP methods in SolarWinds Web Help Desk 12.7.7 and earlier allow remote attackers to modify server resources without authentication. The embedded web server leaves PUT and DELETE enabled, accepting user-chosen resource URLs for uploads and removal instead of restricting these dangerous methods. Network reachability is sufficient to place data at chosen server URLs or remove resource associations, causing integrity loss without reported confidentiality or availability effects.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
