CVE-2021-35236Network attack vector

Session-cookie disclosure via missing Secure attribute

Published Oct 27, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Sensitive-cookie exposure in SolarWinds Kiwi Syslog Server 9.7.2 and earlier allows attackers to obtain session cookies over HTTP. Kiwi Syslog Web Access issues its SSL session cookie without the Secure attribute, permitting browsers to attach it to unencrypted HTTP requests. Exposure requires Web Access to be reachable over both HTTPS and HTTP and a user to initiate an HTTP request, enabling interception of the cleartext cookie.
