Victim-browser script execution via unsanitized header field
Published Oct 21, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Reflected XSS in SolarWinds Database Performance Analyzer 2021.3.7388 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to execute script in a victim's browser. A page section extracts an output field from attacker-altered headers and reflects it without sanitization. Exploitation requires interception and modification of a remote victim's traffic plus victim interaction, exposing the victim's DPA browser session to script execution.
