Insecure deserialization in Patch Manager 2020.2.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code via HTTP. The EditResourceControls endpoint fails to validate user-supplied data before deserializing it, allowing code execution in the NETWORK SERVICE context. Exploitation requires valid authentication and network access to the HTTP interface; successful execution can compromise confidentiality, integrity, and availability on the server.
