Information disclosure and service interruption via IBSS beacon
Published Apr 1, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Qualcomm Snapdragon WLAN firmware allows remote attackers to disclose memory or interrupt service via an IBSS beacon. The WLAN beacon-processing path reads beyond a buffer boundary while parsing an IBSS beacon; Qualcomm has not disclosed the affected function or field. A network-reachable attacker needs no privileges or user interaction, and the documented consequence is limited to memory disclosure and service interruption.
