Memory disclosure via miscalculated WMI message length
Published Apr 1, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in the Snapdragon WLAN Host allows local users to read memory through a malformed WMI message. The WLAN Host calculates a WMI message length incorrectly and reads beyond the intended buffer while processing that message. Low-privilege local access is required; the over-read crosses the buffer boundary and exposes adjacent memory contents.
