Duplicate client-label registration via race condition
Published Jun 14, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Race condition in Qualcomm Snapdragon Connectivity and Snapdragon Mobile allows local users to register duplicate Gunyah client labels. The message-queue client registration path fails to serialize concurrent operations, allowing more than one client to commit an identical label. A local process can trigger the race without privileges or user interaction, but Qualcomm does not disclose what access or service disruption duplicate labels produce.
