CVE-2021-35093Public exploit

Bluetooth deadlock or crash via oversized LMP payload

Published Jan 3, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Memory corruption in Qualcomm BlueCore CSR8510 A10 and CSR8811 A12 allows physically proximate attackers to interrupt Bluetooth service. The controller accepts a normal LMP packet retagged for 2-DH1 transport with excess payload instead of rejecting the resulting 27-byte ACL frame. Bluetooth Classic radio range and the target address are required; CSR8510 crashes and recovers, while CSR8811 deadlocks until power-cycled and BLE remains available.
