Service interruption via unchecked WLAN management frame
Published Jun 14, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Buffer over-read in Qualcomm Snapdragon WLAN firmware allows local users with low privileges to interrupt service during management-frame reception. The management-frame receive handler reads from a frame buffer without first confirming that the supplied length fits the buffer. Exploitation requires low-privileged local access and can disrupt availability, with no vendor-reported confidentiality or integrity impact.
