Local memory corruption via concurrent DSP calls
Published Feb 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Use after free in Qualcomm Snapdragon DSP Services allows local users to corrupt memory when concurrent calls spawn a dynamic process. DSP Services frees an object while concurrent compute-offload calls can still reference it during dynamic-process creation. Local access is required; Qualcomm reports data disclosure, data modification, and service interruption, but the exact reachable primitive is undisclosed.
