Root code execution via unterminated SOAP fields

Stack-based buffer overflow in setupwizard.cgi in NETGEAR R6260 1.1.0.78_1.0.1 allows remote attackers to execute code via SOAP. The analyse_XML_namespace function copies attacker-controlled XML namespace fields with strncpy without guaranteeing termination, then concatenates overlapping strings with sprintf into a fixed stack buffer. Access from the router's LAN is required; authentication and user interaction are not, and successful exploitation executes code as root.
