Code execution via dangling Circle Annotation object
Published May 7, 2024 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Use-after-free in Foxit PDF Reader and PDF Editor for Windows 11.0.1.49938 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code. Circle Annotation handling performs operations on an Annotation object without confirming that the object still exists, accessing freed memory. A target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious PDF; successful exploitation runs code in the current process context.
