Code execution via JT parser heap overflow
Published Jan 13, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Heap-based buffer overflow in Bentley View 10.15.0.75 allows remote attackers to execute code by opening a crafted JT file. The JT parser fails to validate a user-controlled length before copying data into a heap buffer, causing an out-of-bounds write. Exploitation requires the target to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file and runs code in the current process.
